The IV&V Group® is a boutique organization  providing only independent verification and validation services to federal, state, and local agencies as well as the private sector. The IV&V Group is a woman-owned small business headquartered in northern Virginia

With more than twenty years of experience, this unique company began a number of years ago when its founder, Eva Freund, realized that there were no firms specializing in independent verification and validation. Instead there were many consulting firms that undertook verification and validation as part of a larger program management effort, or undertook testing under the guise of verification and validation.

The IV&V Group views independent verification and validation as the ultimate  risk mitigation strategy for any system and software development effort.

Our staff has provided testing and IV&V expertise to such private companies as UUNET, DIGITAL Corp., and Bell Labs/ATT Information Systems.

We have provided IV&V expertise to such Federal agencies as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the National Archives, Office of Comptroller of the Currency, Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, and the Small Business Administration. Our work has included large complex systems and small systems.

By performing an early assessment of the development life-cycle products, we identify risks to schedule, budget, and performance. We immediately bring these to the attention of management along with recommendations for mitigation. We guarantee our work.
