The current issue of Software Quality Professional contains an excellant article by David Heimann, “An Introduction to The New IEEE 730 Standard on Software Quality Assurance” that provides an outstanding description of this new standard. Intrinsic to this standard is that software quality assurance is a process that permeates the software development life cycle. IEEE is expected to release IEEE Std 730 in 2014.
